Drawing from The Dreamer Fish, 2005

I am an artist working in video, sculpture, performance and drawing. I am interested in our desire to connect with animals, our attempt to empathise and bridge a gap with nature. This call to empathise with animals becomes caught up in our own histories, myths and personal associations. Rather than considering animals as distinct objects to be observed, I want to explore animals as shifting, sticky 'things'; animal as activity, rather than animal as object.
